Is the lithium ion battery the same as the lithium battery?

The lithium battery is a disposable battery, and the lithium ion battery is a rechargeable battery!

Lithium-ion batteries generally use lithium cobaltate as the positive electrode and carbon as the negative electrode. The electrolyte is filled in the middle to form a channel for ion free, and the separator is used to separate the positive and negative electrodes to prevent short circuit. When charging, lithium ions migrate from the lithium cobaltate due to the electric field, and pass through the pores in the separator in the electro-hydraulic solution, and reach the negative electrode and react with carbon to form lithium carbide; in contrast, the lithium ion returns to the positive electrode. It is the charging and discharging process of a lithium ion battery.

Lithium batteries generally refer to primary lithium batteries, mainly lithium manganese, lithium iron batteries. Lithium-ion batteries are mainly lithium secondary batteries. Rechargeable batteries mainly include lithium manganate, lithium cobalt oxide and lithium iron phosphate batteries. Lithium-ion batteries are mainly suitable for lithium-ion batteries for power batteries. The main feature is that batteries can High-power discharge, long battery cycle life, etc., such as lithium iron phosphate lithium ion battery.

Lithium battery is made of metal lithium as an electrode, which generates current by electron transfer. It is no longer used because it is easy to cause dendrites to cause explosion. A lithium battery is a primary battery.

Lithium-ion batteries are charged and discharged by the transfer of lithium ions, mainly using oxides of lithium-doped metals as electrodes. The lithium ion battery is rechargeable for the secondary battery.

Lithium primary battery

Also called a lithium battery. It can be discharged continuously or intermittently. Once the power is exhausted, it can no longer be used, and is widely used in electronic products such as cameras that consume less power. The lithium primary battery has a very low self-discharge and can be stored for 3 years. It can be stored under refrigerated conditions and the effect will be better. It is a good idea to store the lithium primary battery in a low temperature place. Note: Lithium primary battery is different from lithium ion battery. Lithium primary battery can't be charged, charging is very dangerous!

2. Lithium-ion battery

Also known as secondary lithium battery. It can be stored for more than half a year at 20 ° C because of its low self-discharge rate and most of its capacity can be recovered.

The self-discharge phenomenon of lithium batteries, if the battery voltage is stored for less than 3.6V for a long time, it will cause the battery to over-discharge and damage the internal structure of the battery, reducing battery life. Therefore, the lithium battery stored for a long time should be recharged every 3 to 6 months, that is, the charging voltage is 3.8~3.9V (the optimal storage voltage of the lithium battery is about 3.85V), and the temperature should be kept at 40%-60%. It should not be full. The battery should be stored in a dry environment at 4 ° C ~ 35 ° C or moisture-proof packaging. Keep away from heat and keep out of direct sunlight.

Lithium batteries have a wide temperature range and can be used outdoors in the winter in the north, but the capacity will be much lower. If you return to room temperature, the capacity can be restored.
